got sound problem fixed, (by adding 9.10 kernel 2.6.31 entry grub startup screen in terminal text editor) find out once boot 9.10, desktop goes black, , click (left or right) on menu item (places, sound icon, etc...) computer logs off (after budaboomp drum sound) , goes login screen have put in password log on. able logon again, click.. budaboomp on again.
have visiontek radeon 9250 agp video card in old coomputer worked fine in 9.04 , still works when dual boot xp.
first time noticed no picture desktop while in 9.10 live cd.
thought live cd issue @ first.
