http 404 Error Message - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

hello everyone,

i downloaded , installed wamp yesterday following post in faq's forum. after unzipping joomla files www folder, opened browser , typed in http://localhost\joomla , received http 404 error message. 

i trying set development system set joomla site customer. don't want have upload anything, buy domain names, etc.. idea of having local.

any ideas? there configuration missing in wamp? (i did search site no avail)

on assumption wamp works jsas, down incorrect path show above. try http://localhost/joomla jsas way needs localhost have suffix ":85" if wamp not, may down slash being wrong way round.
