my hobby archival work 2 historical societies. creating pdf files of images of pre-1900 newspapers. not want pdfs on cd or dvds usable others. passwords not work nefarious person copy cd , password 1 of workers. negate 400 hours of work on part.
#1. can distribute pdf client via cd , user required sign on document center opening? reason pdfs created average around 700 megabytes each drastically limiting downloading.
#2. if have document center account setup need each end-user have account open each file. or account holder , issue licenses each user of pdf?
#3. if open pdf file window pop , tell user need online access file?
#4. online accessing behind scenes limited need input user? in other words need internet connection present , reader recognize open file go web page.
#5. if in future wish cancel subscription in lieu of option understand pdf files useless. if purchase content server , use instead o own web server? still allow user access pdfs. of course realize have reissue each pdf file.
#6. if not trustworthy person gains access pdf , able online authorization how can prevent person opening file? can limite use specific irl or url?

i have downloaded document centre free trial , adobe 8.i cannot add pdf document centre or change security settings on adobe 8.there no option available. im stuck ive read guide doesnt of options not available or adobe set out differently .can please help?
