Thread: low screen roslution after upgrdeing to 9.10

hey guys
i've upgraded 9.04 ubuntu 9.10
alternative cd image
surprise resolution become 800*600
no other options although in 9.04 1024*768
tried xrander -s 1024*768
result was

size index 1024 large, there 2 sizes

i added xorg.conf , restarted xserver in vain

tried this

tried add new mode xrandr
@ end when typed

xrandr --addmode lvcd1 1024x768_60.00

the result was

xrandr: cannot find output "lvcd1"

by command lspci | grep vga
this

00:02.0 vga compatible controller: intel corporation 82865g integrated graphics controller (rev 02)

so think there no problem driver

can ?!!
