Thread: Geforce 210 hdmi audio

i bought geforce 210, hdmi though pci-e instead of passthough, can't audio work hdmi.

shows in aplay -l

**** list of playback hardware devices ****
card 0: nvidia [hda nvidia], device 0: alc662 rev1 analog [alc662 rev1 analog]
subdevices: 1/1
subdevice #0: subdevice #0
card 0: nvidia [hda nvidia], device 1: alc662 rev1 digital [alc662 rev1 digital]
subdevices: 1/1
subdevice #0: subdevice #0
card 0: nvidia [hda nvidia], device 3: nvidia hdmi [nvidia hdmi]
subdevices: 1/1
subdevice #0: subdevice #0

, i've tried various tips found on web, changing default.pa add

load-module module-alsa-sink device=hw:0,3

changing asound.conf file, neither have worked

although sound come out internal spifd connector on motherboard.

has had luck geforce 210 getting audio out of hdmi? or not supported yet?

i have same issue. card supposed have integrated sound processor alsa doesn't seem recognizing.

motherboard has onboard nvidia hdmi audio. aplay list looks yours , no audio on pci-e hdmi card. audio device should on card 1 not card 0. when disable onboard graphics/audio through bios aplay list blank, when 'lspci' see audio device listed. seem alsa doesn't know how talk it.
