Frequency Detection

hey ya'll,
i new language , come background of software design, need intro help. project program board read frequency. how accomplish that?

hardware:
arduino uno
three cable microphone unit (no idea name is, told work).

wiring:
i have gnd cable on mic going gnd position on board.
i have vdd cable on mic going 3.3v output position on board.
i have out cable on mic going a0 analog in position on board.

so correct?
what programming like?

i need hold hand through project , me through this. thank much!
