i following error when trying open gedit through ssh connection.
gconf error: failed contact configuration server; possible causes need enable tcp/ip networking orbit, or have stale nfs locks due system crash. see http://projects.gnome.org/gconf/ information. (details - 1: failed connection session: failed connect socket /tmp/dbus-otbtduttpt: connection refused)
suggestions?
it sounds error gconf of each machine not connecting.
have x forwarding enabled?
work around use pico.
