with new pc build coming started wondering if should use 64bit version of ubuntu. planning on getting intel i5 processor (unless tells me otherwise).
can 32bit apps run on 64bit?
there particular annoyances of 64bit (that don't apply 32bit)?
need specific support in forums on 64bit or 32bit fixes , workarounds work well?
i have been running 64-bit versions of ubuntu couple of releases now, no means expert on differences between two. can speak experience, , experience has showed me every application nowadays has 64-bit build. 32bit apps can ran on 64bit machines, , support between 2 spot on identical.
performance on other hand, better. of course, might because bought new cpu @ same time switched 64. there have been no issues in experience. aside typical ones experienced when updating jaunty.
