save different distributions in different file folders in windows 10 can manage mixed environment of windows 10 iot , unix.
if copy new noobs micro sd windows directory, , recopy freshly sd formatted micro card root directory, not boot, though used same card load noobs (so card worked).
or windows 10 doing wrong?

if have booted sd on rpi , installed os(s) noobs create new linux partition each installed os. os partitions not accessible windows filesystem. simple file copy not work.
can use win32diskimager program read contents of sd card , save file on windows computer. note resulting image total size of sd card. 16gb....32gb etc.
can use win32diskimager write image sd card same way non noobs images done.
note image size may adjusted fit on new card cards same manufacture , advertised size may not same.
