Forcing relative pathnames for linked images

according files, fm automatically uses relative pathnames images if below level of fm file. why having problems when translated files returned me finalized , printed ?

my linked images in subfolders of "images" folder next fm files. long not save fm file somewhere else, images found. when receive translated fm files (i not send image files along source files), image references lost , fm looking in different folders using non-existent pathnames. think serious design flaw in fm, believe using 1 single directory search images should have been abandoned somewhere in 17th century.

i very, pleased if there easy way of telling fm once , once whole book root of images folder has changed.

hopefully on forum has easy solution not involve trying change way translation agencies export, import , convert fm files create final deliveries. not have access strategies , must possible easier within fm.

thanks bundle useful suggestions.

your translators aren't preserving path , directory structure , substituting different locations.

to fix this, use bruce foster's archive plugin package files send translators, , tell them not change these locations.
or if want yourself, package entire project translators (an archive preserves paths) , tell them not change image directory location.

if neither of these things, when translators open files , don't find graphics, have select option "ignore missing files" , work without graphics. pathing preserved , should work when receive files back.
