Windows 2003 ..can't install any CS4 applications

i use windows 2003 workstation , past 2 days i've been trying install trial cs4 applications no luck.

i've been using cs3 long time without issues, installs using application verifier. uninstalled cs3 before attempting cs4 installation.

i tried many things no matter gets 90% on "checking system profile", "loading setup" splash screen pops few seconds goes away , "checking system profile" still there @ 90% , never goes further. can see using bit of cpu , memory usage changes while it's there never goes further.

i tried uninstalling adobe apps, except lightroom i'm little nervous losing things, didn't help. used both cs3 , cs4 cleanup scripts. used 2 different admin accounts, disabled antivirus nothing.

log file doesn't show errors far why installation stops.

i tried standalone versions of photoshop cs4 , dreamweaver cs4, both show loading setup panel few seconds setup.exe crashes. tried faking winxp sp2 , sp3 application verifier makes no difference.

i'm out of ideas, formatting system not option, have many things.

os: win 2003 std
cpu: core2quad q6600
ram: 4 gb
hd: wd velociraptor
video: gforce 6600gt

what mean windows 2003 std? mean windows 2003 server?
