i running rpi model b+ piface rtc shim. latest jessie os. having trouble clock until found thread:

, got clock work. when make copies of sd card time wants reset 1-1-1970 @ midnight. original still keeps track of time. has come across issue , has fix?

do mean plug new pi board , shows original time, or mean plug sdcard image same board , resets time ?
if connected network, can ensure ntpd service running reset current time.
rtc run battery ensure when power off, clock keeps ticking. if putting image on new board, need set clock first time. may easiest use ntpd, plug board network first boot , should keep time onwards.
