Adobe lost the plot? Still can't open ebooks purchased on other machines.

i have ebooks various different sources , i'm not able re-download them (amazon no longer carries frommers guides in ebook format, frommers don't sell them directly either , adobe killed own store) , since downloaded them on machine have since replaced can't read them!

today digital editions officially released , guess what. tried opening of ebooks , see: "this document cannot opened on machine. please contact site obtained document download copy."

for months faq digital editions beta claimed future version enable drm support books purchased on other machines. add insult injury, not official version still crippled, they've removed mention of drm support books purchased on other machines official faq.

but hey, piece of garbage adware (see 'is digital editions free me , customers use?' topic in faq: http://www.adobe.com/products/digitaleditions/faq)...

i'm in same boat had reinstall windows , entire collection can't opened, original sources have vanished adobe/amazon etc. wasn't problem when adobe reader used view these items pdf open these items these adobe ***** have totally ****** entire digital library , can't read , have manuals in format need access @ times. worse still make impossible contact them done! either adobe comes or sorry.i'm getting pissed off these drm ******** , advise comers copy adobes expensive software , ditribute free,i never pay adobe product , advise friends never buy of adobe's products under circumstances!!!!!!
