i'm working on project company asking simple package solution. idea started midatlantic ip based power outlet (http://www.middleatlantic.com/products/power/ip-power-control-management/rlm-series-remote-power-control-modules/rlm-15-1ca.aspx)
project purpose:
theatrical install. company ability remotely turn off each circuit of led house lighting. lights dmx controlled able physically power off fixtures.
at $110-$160 circuit midatlantic. add fast. far have request 60 circuits on 3 installs. also, midatlantic, there no ability dmx control.
my goal:
use 1 arduino mega control centrally located 120vac 30 amp relays on each install. each lighting circuit gets 1 spst relay , control pin form arduino. tie in via dmx, ethernet , physical control line various control needed each install.
i did retro fit of exact system in old building. had 277vac solenoid controlled lights. did ethernet web interface, rs-485 via dmx , ability hardware buttons. has worked great.
my challenges:
i'm having hard time finding suitable 120vac 30 amp relay. want 'over spec' relay incase day decided plug motorized fixture circuit.
my guess there no coil based relays in category can controlled via 5vdc control voltage. i'm willing build step circuits. hope find spst 120vac 30 amp relay 24v or less control voltage. ac or dc ok on control.
i haven't had lot of experience ssrs have no idea if fit type of project or not. not when have used ssrs "bleed" little voltage through circuit when off. reason typically lean coil-based relays

you can find relays spec'ed @ low cost (and yes, ul recognized):

ebay opto-isolated 5vdc 30 amp relays
fwiw, coil current @ 5vdc 200 ma each. can find english pdfs data sheets relays on manufacturers web site.
