i'm having problem "failed opening required" error when called in component working on. imagine point joomla installation in root directory. iinstead ends pointing pear installation, above root directory, inside directory php installed. in addition, using directory-structure path, starting "c:\" rather server path ("localhost/").
the joomla installation works, , default components work, comes i've written in component. think if knew more $mainframe->getpath() does, might able figure out.
