i trying setup xbmc run on tv through second output on video card. have no problems registering hdtv resolution in windows (1920x1080), in nvidia-settings highest output resolution 1024x768.
make matters worse, when try save second monitor/tv in nvidia-settings error "failed parse existing x config file '/etc/x11/xorg.conf" (seg fault on exit), cannot go xorg manually change resolution.
ideas start tackle issue? on fresh karmic x64 install , have gtx260.
first need delete xorg.conf file. open nvidia-settings , going in first place. when go save settings, see not have xorg.conf file. box pop asking put info. @ top of box there button says (i think) "show output". click , copy contents. can go , create xorg.conf file , paste copied before. save restart.
