Thread: Creating partitions for the boot partition

hello,

installing ubuntu 9.10.

however, when go advanced options making partitions. have decided create

swap file x2 size of ram
/ (root) partition.

have read documents should create boot partition (primary partition) first partition bios can find it. , allocate 100mb.

wondering need create boot partition? , do?

ext4 mount point /
, swap 1:1 ram
