i learning structured framemaker using xml cookbook frame 7.1. made edd , readwrite rules , trying open practice xml document "colordoc.xml" supplied in cookbook. when attempt following error message. "could not open dtd file:" , path folder file exists. end of path :"..../framemaker structured practice/appchapter.dtd". should there anothe r forward slash after "app"? when check edd last line is: writer external dtd system "../app/chapter.dtd". ined do?

i don't have cookbook in front of me, assumption seems correct. sounds xml file trying open points dtd called "appchapter.dtd," in turn sounds folder delimiter (slash) missing. open xml file in text editor , @ dtd declaration in beginning. if missing delimiter, try adding reopening file in frame. note, of course, dtd must still reside wherever declaration pointing.
i should mention this... if solve problem way, curious how occurred in first place. upon export, frame writes declaration automatically, i'm wondering if wrong somewhere else well.
