first of wanted im brand new world of pi. picked mine 2 weeks ago , have been playing around nights. purchased noobs it. im complete beginner , wanted skill.
did apt-get install update , apt-get upgrade, since have lost wifi, ifconfig shows no wlan0 @ all.
i've read online think fault because did update. question need back, found suggestion install 'firmware-brcm80211' said need re install noobs
appreciated, i've @ many post on other pages im more confused when started.

noobs not operating system. it's kind of installer of operating systems. i'm not sure kind of because have never used it.
suggest blow away , install raspbian directly. available downloads page.
