special chars in autonumbering strings

hello, using em dash separate figure , table title numbers descriptions, e.g., figure 5.3---folder creation dialog (where 3 hyphens represents em dash). problem need em dash autonumbering string can ignored robohelp when import robohelp project (technical communications suite). not able locate information tells me how this. how bullet character discussed in guide, see no discussion of other characters, such em dash. wondering if here might know. assistance offer appreciated.

em dash \m in dialogs (like autonumber or find/change), can
type (alt 0151) or paste characters dialogs well.
