well hope can possibly frustrating. keep problem short, when user logs in / out in firefox redirected page on when y logged in / out. in internet explorer 6 , 7 redirects them homepage. don't want that....
okay 1st things first.
i have been talking smf (simple machines forum) , bridge developer (hero) 'orstio'. trying me on situation strange one. can see our conversation at:

please take @ conversation helps understand problem that
in joomla admin - module - smf login have settings set in order redirection page on when logged in / out , orstio has checked settings himself , stated looks fine! module published (just in case asks)!
i use joomla 1.0.12, smf 1.1.2, smf official bridge 1.1.7, virtuemart 1.0.10, , jccal pro 1.5.3 (calendar module)
so, there out there can work out or understand why $_session['return'] variable playing this. can provide access or publish code wanted inspection if needed. (hey fixed... ahhmm.... ahm.) if check smf forum link above see php code login mod.
note: orstio has been huge , wanted note have got far in cms adventures due advice , guidance. complete beginner 3 months ago.

it looks me session being erased somewhere....
then have no idea else wiping session that. return url should stored in $_session['return'].
everything seems ok, except $_session['return'] variable, doesn't seem make bridge intact. puzzled.
