on fresh karmic install have issue 2d/3d rendering:
apparent when playing quakelive: while have constant 125fps, still looks if playing 10-20fps.
there constant stuttering. it's not cpu load surge or that, stuttering uniform , feels same.
it's apparent when moving around windows on desktop or when watching video (even mplayer , vdpau support) linear motion stuttering looks same frequency in quakelive example above.
i'm using 8-series nvidia graphics card. i've tried different drivers, changing sync blank settings, there's no change in stuttering @ all.
in jaunty works fine though (with same nvidia drivers)
can't find strange processes cause cpu load.
generally, everything's running quite smoothly, though there's underlying slight stuttering rendered on screen. isn't disturbing or noticeable when working or watching video, makes impossible play quakelive though.
have no clue wrong here...
i have exact same problem.
have no idea cause though.
post hardware specs please.
