when attempting import word 2003/xp documents using .rtf saves of .doc files framemaker 8 p277, error above. importing .doc file directly gives error message not generate error above. copying file word , attempting paste special .rtf causes error message above.
the same thing happens if cut pictures , figures out of word document before importing.
i using office 10 xp , windows xp pro sp3. both have latest updates.
can give hint must done word file in order achieve successful import? (i have these imports on regular basis.)

if you're trying file > import...
i wouldn't.
what happens when save rtf file out word, , file > open?
also, number of people have better luck specifying it's japanese rtf file rather straight format. if haven't tried alternate filter, may want to.
