i having problems framemaker's ability "update document use new path" on consistent basis.
our framemaker documents pull graphics multiple directories , expected each file, when opened after move, ask missing files. didn't expect ask every image though located in same directory!
i have read post tossing in 1 directory framemaker file not option since have strict policies against this.
some of framemaker documents resolve pathing issue after selecting new path first instance of missing graphics image, automatically remapping rest; expected. confuses me framemaker documents wont, rather forced identify same directory (same unc server path etc.) every image in file though framemaker has no recollection of told it.
ideas?

what specific version of fm (from about, "pxxx" numbers), on platform?
