hello all!
i bought canon 30d week. shot 1st time weekend - excited home , open raw files i'm having real trouble. canon 30d producing cr2 images (camera raw 2 guessing.) cs not able open them. 'old' camera 1st canon digital rebel, have no problems opening raw files....i've been working raw files quite time now......the raw concept not new thing me.
so, hopped on web morning in search of answers. went adobe site , downloaded camera raw 2.4 update dng converter. read in few places had convert cr2 files dng files - , updated camera raw plugin (2.4) cs should able open them. can't dng converter convert cr2 files! arrrgghhh! when follow instructions, (drag folder of images containing raw files on dng converter icon...that launches converter) says can't locate raw files. tried dragging few individual raw files converter...no luck either. i'm getting bit frustrated. blew bank on new camera , lens....there no way can upgrade software time soon. i'm thinking can't person problem.
i'm really, hoping has been though , can offer advice! oh....i'm running windows vista if matters of you.
