Thread: Cannot install from USB after using unetbootin

hi, downloaded ubuntu 9.10 iso bittorrent, , ran unetbootin prepare 2gb thumb drive. after rebooting computer, started installation, got input/output error during installation. run

code:

cd /cdrom && md5sum -c md5.txt

check problems , find filesystem.squashfs corrupt. there way install ubuntu usb?, , there way make sure thumb drive still working in peak condition?

hi, have similar issue. tried preparing usb drive based on told here
says "usb-creator.exe located in cd image you! "

however, dont see usb-creator.exe file anywhere on iso file. in fact .exe file in ubuntu-9.10-desktop-amd64.iso wubi.exe. did check md5checksum , correct.

please advise how install ubuntu usb. laptop not have dvd/cd drive.
