Thread: k9copy fails on MPEG-4 after upgrade to 9.10

hi -

have been using k9copy without problems in 8.04 since hardy new.

upgraded 8.04 9.10 (8.04 -> 8.10 -> 9.04 -> 9.10) , seems right 1 exception of encoding mpeg-4 videos dvd in k9copy. can still rip dvds folders, mpeg-2, etc., when encoding mpeg-4 software runs process 99% complete , "hangs" in unusual way.

when process hangs, software continues act it's working in updates expected completion time/total time, never finishes. processor pegs @ 100% , have kill command line. no video file ever created , video never displayed screen.

upgraded sequentially , quickly, did not spend time in-between versions, can not whether or not have happened in 8.10 or 9.04.

has experienced behavior either before or after 9.10?

help!

it worked fine in 9.04, having similar problem ripping iso in 9.10. loads fine, when start copy crashes.

here crash info:
application: k9copy (k9copy), signal: segmentation fault
