upgrade 9.04 on main laptop went smoothly, 1 bug (and isn't worry about, mildly annoying when run update manager), , laptop runs better ever before.
plus, bought netbook last year, tried 8.04, 9.04, fedora, 2 versions of mint, , 9.10. karmic 1 works perfectly, straight off bat! internet works evil atheros card!

think clean install because prefer start clean slate.
infact, come think of it. problem have have , continue have in all(?) linux versions speedtoutch modem used tiscali plugged in 16 port router, connected folks laptop, put modem in laptop(runs win xp), shared internet connection , though i'm using enough power power small village job temporarily.
