i know of on cs4, got cs3 before upgrade , cannot installed either on desktop or laptop. have continual blue screen errors, generalized "you've suffered crash" things, no specific reason given.
i running dell dimension xps p4 3.2 ghz, 4 gig ram, windows xp service pack 3 installed.
i have tried upgrading of video drivers (raedon x850 xt platinum edition, bios, , chipset every other driver can find. when started got bsod @ end of installation disk 2, 3/4 of way through installation disk 4 , i'm ready tear hair out. need program installed, , i've spent literally days of time computer down trying done.
help? have missed?

if getting bsod, has nothing directly adobe software including installers. bsods occur due either (1) non-recoverable hardware error or (2) fatal error in driver or operating system component operating in privileged mode. there no piece of adobe software runs in privileged mode. have checked drivers - 1 of leading causes of bsods. advise robustly check out hardware including memory, dvd drive, , hard disk drive.
