After upgrade old version displays - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

hello,

i upgraded joomla 1.0.8 joomla 1.0.12.

first backed filesystem, backed database.

next unzipped joomla_1.0.8_to_1.0.12-stable-patch_package.zip on local hard drive.  ftp'd entire file structure on top live/online site.

everything went fine.  when log joomla, @ bottom of admin area still says joomla! 1.0.8.

/includes/version.php says 1.0.12
/changelog.php says 1.0.12

but backend admininstrator says 1.0.8???

any ideas?

hi, welcome joomla! forum. strange. maybe stupid question? 1.0.8? in footer of admin site or on above right of page (this 1.0). if it's in footer, can refresh browser cache (maybe try browser).
