CS3: Favorites from Bridge dont show up in Adobe Dialog

favorites bridge don't show in adobe dialogs of id, ai , ps.
this issue reported here: http://www.adobeforums.com/webx/.3bc3e4b8/12
with no solutions or workarounds problem. function useful in cs2. can myself on mac file handling annoying if have work windows (xp).
anyone solution out there?

it works differently in cs3 cs2. file open dialog, browse
to need be. right click folder , choose add favorites.
