over time have collection of tower pro 996r servos, during learning process, had damaged quite few of them, burned out tiny control circuit inside. gears good, motors good. seems shame have throw them away, further contribute pollution of planet. know can buy control circuit board, sure can fixed once replace control circuit. thanks

i think find regarded throw away units. not economically repairable.
you find, pcb's manufactured 100's of thousands @ little cos, , cost of supplying and replacing 1 more whole servo worth.
it has ic control system, possibly programmed chip, not available off shelf component supplier.
