Led trouble(beginner)

i have attempted create circuit reads state of pushbutton(input) , lights corresponding led on arduino(output) depending on whether high or low.tried lighting led using pushbutton (used pull down resistor).however..doesnt seem light @ all..need help..have attached circuit code!will assistance..
thanks in advance!(by led mean 1 on atmega)

hi, did connect switch correctly? sse if can rotate 90 degrees on breadboard.
