acr 4.4.1 (and beta4.5) not work on windows xp pro (sp2) computer both cs , cs3 installed. raw file pentax 1stds (.pef) opened in cs3 through acr 4.4.1 shows black thumbnail in history palette beside file name. conversion of file lab color shows black image. acr beta 4.5 shows same behavior. no version of acr subsequent 4.3.1 have worked on windows computer cs , cs3 installed. versions of acr subsequent 4.3.1 , prior 4.4.1 had other idiosyncrasies.
