Thread: Xen 3.3 on ,Jaunty 9.04 Dell Inspiron 1440


i testing xen on ubuntu jaunty 9.04 dom0
new xen after googling , playing around had been able install xen on machine
per instructions given on page

following mentioned

"getting dom0 networking running key getting network running removing ubuntu network manager
sudo apt-get remove network-manager"my issue have wifi network available me no lan on here.
if uninstall network-manager wifi driver gets uninstalled have tested.
need access intenet obvious reasons not possible if uninstall network-manager. able complete rest of method setup network on xen mentioned on above blogs or many other forums have read.

when installed ubuntu on machine there had been message broadcom drivers ubuntu uses if can know how re enable same network-manager jaunty 9.04 using after above experiments time saved or files need take backup wi fi driver saved , can bring card again should , how proceed.

had tried , since got disconnected network issue able search on internet questions need internet connection want run xen on same machine posting can find right driver file/module current setup of ubuntu on machine take backup of wifi drivers on machine , keep on doing experiments.
since new thing when had uninstallled network manager machine had re install every thing wifi working or there simple solution problem.any appreciated.
pci id of wifi card 14e4:4315 uses broadcom chip
product: bcm4312 802.11b/g
vendor: broadcom corporation
, while installing ubuntu jaunty 9.04 got message uses broadcom sta copyrighted driver
wanted .how ubuntu support hardware want know since in many other distributions tried inspite of using ndiswrapper , other methods described failed bring above mentioned card in ubuntu got answer ths problem.
