Solar Panel excess power usage - Raspberry Pi Forums

hi,

know if has ever used raspberry pi solar panel in manner excess power produced solar panel (example: grid-tie producing 500w , using 100w in-house, 400w excess not injected in public network) redirected different output.

let me explain bit more in detail:

- here in portugal have vendors have product called energy box (http://sunlightpanel.pt/energy%20box.htm) redirect excess power output (off-grid)... image looks of arduino board controller of sort. looking similar rpi... i've tried looking google energy box in english stand different products have nothing significate in portuguese.. (damm!).

have this?! ideas?!

pedro, have been googling "solar farm controllers" ; "solar farm control systems" &c . there lots of hits out there; commercial, home spun, grass roots.

also, might try contact folks this. solar 'farms' (or better stated) solar projects farming common in area of minnesota , iowa. townships decorah iowa have energy projects centered on controlling huge solar arrays (for agriculture , other). might able contact them (or others them) find out if of controllers pi based.

ps surprised when found out cern using pi controllers (who knew?, right?)
