hi, i'm having problem has been experienced before lev lev ( lev lev, "keyboard letter jumble - cs2 illust + indesign" #1, 16 mar 2008 7:04 am), , has been driving me crazy better part of year.
when using cs2 illustrator or indesign (on pc), without warning letter positions on keyboard can change, results im keyboard commands not working or changing different command. when quit , restart program, keyboard's letter positions go normal, change different letters again. change in letter positions can happen anywhere 5min hour after starting program.
it affects saving file within these 2 programs - i'll try type "_" in filename , instead "$", , letters substituted others.
deleting prefs doesn't solve problem.
the problem affects indesign , illustrator - can still type in windows programs.
when lev lev asked question, fred goldman suggested-
>"are possibly pressing alt+shift , changing keyboards?"
to lev lev replied-
>"thanks fred, teach me speak 2 languages. silly me, anyway glad have sorted , quickly, y'all!"
unfortunately, don't know means. when press alt+shift, don't seem slip in , out of letter-jumble-mode. can't seem find information changing keyboards either.
if alt+shift causing keys switch around, presume easiest fix change keyboard shortcut. unfortunately can't generate problem using these keys, , can't find shortcut uses these 2 keys.
