i upgraded 9.04 9.10 alpha when available. since computer freeze & display go dark - have unplug computer recover it. after final release of 9.10 (updated through update manager), computer continued freeze. never did in 9.04.
wanted report booted computer 9.10 cd made , let computer sit overnight , never froze. since have reinstalled 9.10 (the final release) , computer not freezing. planning on added 1 thing @ time system see if 1 thing cause computer freeze. take time, know sure if installed. of have install come repositories anyways. in case, happy have stable system again.
ubuntu still rules , 9.10 still awesome!!

new update. have since added , computer no longer freezing. sat turned on for entire weekend, , fine monday morning.
