i'm working on project client - bookstore - , wondering if virtuemart way go, opposed freestanding package open source zen cart or retail x-cart. i've read concerns stability of virtuemart n forums, , don't want billing blows sometime after input 5000 book titles.
i checked virtuemart site , don't see specific there, thought i'd ask here well.

i have used virtuemart , oscommerce zen across array of sites on years , virtuemart in opinion (for worth) leaves rest dead.
it easy head around, forum can @ times offer no support sooner or later around problems if have bit of knowledge , stable other cart.
furthermore integration automated payment gateways fantastic. plus, of major gateways support , vice versa , banks support gateways - virtuemart must have reliability.
now having said whilst have pushed oscommerce 3500 items have never pushed virtuemart that....... yet - happen soon.
i give go - think stand challenge!
