Thread: Virtulabox Kernel driver not installed error with Karmic 9.10

i have installed karmic 9.10, , virtualbox 3.0 sun repository. everytime want run wm first time i'v turned on computer, message (see attachment).

run command , works fine, how fix problem permanently?

i've tried uninstalling , re-installing using synaptic, have dkms package installed i've tried running virtualbox terminal, used sudo, , still problem every first time try run vm when turn on computer.

i have tried of solutions found on internet, none have solved problem. uninstalling , reinstalling dkms, virtualbox, tried virtualbox-ose (same problem).

vbox usergroup includes me , root, i'v tried changing ownership user instead of root, no avail.

interesting things command recompile kernel works, isn't permanent (next boot, same problem), mean dkms not keeping track of kernel changes?
