i connect canon rebel xsi (450d) dslr mac via usb. adobe bridge launches(updated camera raw 4.5 => ~\library\application support/adobe/plug-ins/cs3/file formats). choose download pictures (jpeg & cr2). download takes place.
thumbnails appear both jpgs & cr2s in adobe bridge. when cr2 clicked on open, photoshop elements 6.0 opens not open raw file -it indicates file type unknown.
the cr2 files downloaded adobe bridge 2-3 mb, originals on sd ram card on 10 mb. happening files during download.
if sd card inserted in usb adapter , connected pc, download works fine , files retain original size. problem
only occurs direct camera pc usb connection.
does have insight causing or fixes?

i don't know if works mac, useful in trying use mac's own file browser copy images when camera connected directly. if files can copied via method, indicate bridge problem. if not, problem camera's usb cable or camera itself.
