Arduino mega and SD do not save well in SD :(

please needed, spend tree days trying guess why arduino mega sd shield 3.0
do not save on sd, on serial port in serial monitor looks

initializing sd card...card initialized.

if so, not see logic level converter on board. many sd card shields , breakout boards have problems without converter. know page says 5 volt capable, don't think is. sd cards don't handle 5 volts on 3.3v inputs.

edit: there ic on bottom of shield?
