Sanity check; switching ICs off with MOSFET

hi,

just wanted quick sanity check. i've had great in past (http://forum.arduino.cc/index.php?topic=290215.0) regard mosfets , switching loads on or off, worked perfectly.

i'm looking switch whole module on/off (in particular, mfrc522 rfid reader). free use low side switching on ground line of that? or current flow through logic lines? best method of switching entire module on or off @ will?

datasheet: http://www.nxp.com/documents/data_sheet/mfrc522.pdf
module pinout: http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-cypwjhefogy/u9anzspeeyi/aaaaaaaabao/fzkuc4ypnrk/s1600/rfid-rc522-pinout.png

thanks in advance,

cosford.

am free use low side switching on ground line of that?
never.  well, almost never.

or current flow through logic lines?
that reason.  , external connections.  mind you, high-side switching must disable i/o lines.

what best method of switching entire module on or off @ will?
generally, high-side switching logic level (p-)fet.  if voltage higher arduino 5v, need npn transistor (or n-fet) control it.
