Problem installing Simple Image Gallery: XML File not found - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

hi all,

i try install plugin, downloaded web (also tried joomlaworks web file). open admin page, go plugins installation, choose zip file hd and... joomla says there's not xml configuration file 'component'...  right, open zip file and... there beautiful xml file config plugin  ...

any idea? clean joomla installation, couple of templates , nothing else more default installation. i'm using easyphp, working in local xp professional running...

i can't found nothing in joomlaworks forum, , same thing this...
