Cross-reference formatting

hello:

in 1 of documents, i've increased font size of body tag cross references smaller surrounding text. appear wrapped in body tag font , point size pull-downs in toolbar appear blank when click on cross reference. i'm sure must easy can't seem figure out why occurs. can enlighten me , give me fix? i'm using v8.0p277.

are using character tag around cross reference, e.g. change color or underline it? if so, , if character tag not created after using "set window is" command first, character tag inadvertently retaining "older" body font size settings.

this happens 1 of pet peeves fm going forever, once character tag defined there's no blindingly obvious way know whether tag created "as is" or not when tag displayed in character designer.

the way check 100% save file mif , @ character tag entries. if dialog set "as is" , individual changes made (e.g. underline) , update applied, mif entry tag show property. if "as is" wasn't selected first, entry tag show character designer options (family, size, angle, etc etc).
