i wondering if give me advice ht1632c chip. i've learned datasheet , various forums online information seems gloss on noob information require.
the main goal me drive 32x8 rgb led dot matrix (page 17 of attached datasheet). right have regular red leds in there me practice , acquire knowledge of how run matrix. shed light on following?
my current setup of page 13 - row source/com sink - seems way chip prefers (source 70ma/sink 350ma). should invest in common cathode rgb led or worth continuing common anode , buffering them. thoughts on this?

- there 2 led_vss , led_vdd pins on chip. thought these input/output led voltages leds connected row , com pins only. voltages supplied row , com pins come led_vdd? why there 2 sets?
- can led_vdd larger 5v stated (which believe logic circuit)? don't want fry chip. want drive leds higher voltage maximum brightness - occurs @ 20-22ma leds have @ moment.
- if drive leds @ higher voltage, how calculate resistance required row pin? there 1 8 leds lit @ time.
- originally setup driving anodes com lines, did because rgb leds common anode. com source , rows sink current setup on page 15 of datasheet. didn't use transistor buffers , matrix did not light @ all. want confirm if did include buffers matrix light , not need edit software configure row/com source/sink.
