Thread: Unable to install iScan on Kubuntu 9.10

of time, i'll reading, , finding solutions. new distro, guess it's not uncommon post new issue.

ok, alot of us, 1 of many upgrade 9.10 karmic koala. i'm professional it, , need constant use of printer , scanner, upload reports , such. i'm using epson workforce 500. cups driver able detect , configure printer no problems. scanner not same lucky case. in last setup, using iscan, software support workforce 500 scanner. issue there still no current support installing iscan new 9.10 version. went mile in finding deb packages iscan , lib3tdl3, there appears conflict in installing each individually, iscan requires lib3tdl3...., , when trying install lib3tdl3, has conflict exiting package. can me out in getting iscan installed, scan software supports scanner. thanx in advanced...

... wait minute everyone..., great news! able newer release of iscan (after endless searching). installed newer .deb package, , ran sane find scanner utility. once scanner detected, (of course, after installing iscan), rebooted system, , wahla!!! have karmic koala running working workforce 500 printer , scanner.
