Thread: sudo /etc/init.d/networking restart doesn't work?


for wired connection, ubuntu 9.10 laptop turned on before turn on powerline ethernet adapters. results in laptop not getting ip address. if reboot, ip address.

following command doesn't work:

sudo /etc/init.d/networking restart

i've tried other command , doesn't work either:

sudo ifup eth0

there else can try?

if interface up, can attempt request ip address with:

code:
sudo dhclient
