Thread: Old prob: Headphone jack sense is not working

have asus laptop (x72t aka x72tl motherboard m70tl) , following audio hardware built-in:

i've updated 9.4 karmic koala, , i'm still experiencing same problem had before: headphone jack sense not working, means if listen music on internal speakers (no head phone plugged in), , plug in headphone, music can heard on both speakers (but lower volume on headphone).

expected behaviour internal speakers getting disabled when plug in headphone, , enabled again if plug out.

moreover, if boot pc headphones plugged in, internal speakers disabled (and stay disabled).

question asked quite in forums, , every time, people told check "headphone jack sense" switch in mixer, in 9.4 , in 9.10, there was/is no such switch on system.

under windows, works expected.

realised sometimes, jack sense seems work (right now, works perfectly), few days didn't ...

updated recently??
