Thread: install Dell Xp OS as guest on Hardy

i have dell vostro 1500, i'm trying install dells os system guest on hardy. i've tried once seems disk doesn't recognize laptop , acts normal xp install , doesn't accept serial numbers. there way let virtual xp os recognize it's on laptop shipped with? or there work around?

microsoft's genuine advantage validation uses several hardware parameters given pc runs on, , "your pc" virtual one, numbers won't come correctly. that's why version of xp won't accept numbers.

know, have right run xp on box if corresponding oem-sticker attached or when have fpp valid license, virtual or not, may call ms , ask serial.

should give (maybe after asking prove validity of license).
